Ayu’s photos from Ultra Korea yesterday, where she served as the event’s first VVIP host.
Busting out the original (and apparently out of print?) ayu-mi-x I really wish she would re-record some of the songs from her debut.
UPDATE June 5th: The physical version may be out of print, but US iTunes just re-added the digital version to its catalogue!
The Ultra Music Festival is returning to Seoul next month for the second annual Ultra Korea, and the official site just announced that Ayu will be the “VVIP Host!”
You can still buy tickets for the main show at the event’s official website. More information on the VVIP area can be found here.
I’ve always really liked this cover.
The Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra also covered several of Ayu’s songs for a compilation album that is no longer in print.
Remember that one time the Princess China Music Orchestra released an Ayumi Hamasaki cover album? That worked out pretty well.

This page from the November 2000 issue of non-no is pretty much late 90s j-pop in a nutshell.
